gateway:release:smoke
Runs bin/gateway-smoke of the current release against the live Gateway, for the current commit or the commit you name, and answers when it ends. since is the runtime handoff time, ISO 8601 with a zone. Smoke restarts nothing and writes no release record, so it runs inside the request: its limit, ORBIT_GATEWAY_RELEASE_SMOKE_TIMEOUT, is lowered to what the request’s command deadline has left, about 520 seconds at most, so the run ends before PHP-FPM ends the request. One smoke runs at a time; another answers 409 gateway.release_smoke_in_progress. Checks that did not pass answer 200 with outcome failed and the report; a smoke that printed no report, ran past its limit, or is missing is an error. See /reference/gateway-recovery#smoke.
